InfraRecorder Tutorial #4 - How to Copy Tracks from your Audio CDs

What we have here is an incredible free CD/DVD burning program, InfraRecorder offers a bunch of handy features that will help you manage your CD, DVD and ISO Image burning tasks efficiently and in a simple as possible way. What's a really interesting feature, and will be covered in this tutorial, is InfraRecorder´s capability to copy audio tracks from your CDs to your folders.

In order to be able to follow this tutorial you need to have this free CD/DVD burning program installed and running in your computer. To do so, click the “Download” button above and get your free fully functioning copy of InfraRecorder. The InstallIQTM installation manager will guide you through the rest of the setup process.

With InfraRecorder ready, the next step is to go to your Windows Start menu → All Programs → InfraRecorder and launch InfraExpress.

From its options on the upper menu bar select “other” and then select the “Manage Tracks” option.
This is a good moment to insert your audio CD in the optical device of your computer.

The “Tracks” dialog will be displayed. In this window you can see a list of the tracks contained in your CD, so, select the ones you want to save to your hard drives and from the buttons on the bottom-left select the first.

A dialog will pop up giving you the option to select location (Click the “...” button) and the output format among Wave, Ogg Vorbis and Windows Media Audio.

If you select Ogg Vorbis or Windows Media Audio formats the Settings option will be available, click there to adjust audio settings (quality and bitrate).

Just bear in mind that the higher the quality the bigger will be the size of the file that will be saved to your hard drive, so, if you plan to save in high quality have a large amount of free space in your HDD. The name on the saved audio file will correspond with the mane in the CD.
Once you have set all this parameters click on the “OK” button. A progress window will appear showing the percentage of the job done, when all finished you can click the “OK” button and all your selected tracks will be saved.
