InfraRecorder Tutorial #5 - How to Erase an RW Disk
InfraRecorder is an amazing free CD/DVD burning application that brings a wide range of handy features, but what is really interesting is that InfraRecorder sports an easy-to-use and understand user interface with context menu integration for Windows Explorer. Today's tutorial is about erasing rewritable discs.

All you need to get started with this tutorial is to have a rewritable CD or DVD and InfraRecorder installed in your PC, but do not worry, if you do not have the second, you only need to click on the “Download” button above and follow the steps of the InstallIQTM installation manager that will guide you through the setup process.

Now that your free copy of InfraRecorder is ready to run, go to your Windows Start menu → All Programs → InfraRecorder and launch InfraExpress.

Select “other” from the menu bar options and then select the “Manage Tracks” option. Now you have to insert your rewritable CD or DVD in the optical device of your PC.

The “Erase/Format Disc” dialog box will pop up.

Here you can select the erase method, the speed and a few more options like ejecting the disc after erasing or running in the Simulation mode.

Once you are done with the selection just click OK and the precess will began. A dialog showing the results will appear, when the erasing is done you can click OK to close that window.
