Nuance PDF Reader Tutorial #2 – How to Zoom and Rotate a PDF

What we have here is a really agile and fully featured free PDF reader, with Nuance PDF Reader you can not only open and view PDF documents but it also allows you to zoom in and out, view them in full screen mode and even rotate them if necessary, and that is specifically what I am going to tell you about in this tutorial, how to use the zoom and rotation features of Nuance PDF Reader.

So, now that you have this great free PDF reader installed, launch it and open a PDF document as you learned in our previous tutorial. As you can see in the next screen capture the PDF document is viewed in its default size which is normally .

In order to view the whole document or page of the document if it has more than one you can zoom out and you can do it in two ways the first is by going to View → Zoom and selecting the option that better fits your needs.

The other way is to use the zoom control that is at the middle-bottom of the interface. Click on the “+” and “-” buttons till you get the zoom you like. You can also enter a desired number in the box or select one of the other options like “Actual Size” “Fit Width” and so on.

There is an interesting feature called “Loupe” that allows you to zoom over an specific area without zooming the whole document. To activate it go to Tools → Zoom → Loupe. As you can see, there is a blue rectangle indicating in the area of the document that is being magnified. What is really handy is the possibility to place this window wherever you want.

Regarding rotation, you can apply rotation to any document with Nuance, just go to View → Rotate View and select one of the two options.

You can also rotate by clicking the buttons located on the left-bottom.
